Evel Burdett (she/her) is a poet based in Dorset. She has been published in Heroica, Feast Zine, and, queer journal, Fairies Collective. She likes to write about love in all its many forms. Especially the weird ones.

Evel studied creative writing at Roehampton University. She was president of the UR Writing Society, and lead editor of the student journal. She was nominated for the Roehampton Mentorship Award, and won Best Academic Society. Her creative dissertation, a fifteen page collection of horror/feminist poetry, won the Roehampton Creative Writing Prize. In 2023, it was shortlisted for the Aryamati Poetry Pamphlet Prize by Fly on the Wall press.

'Evel's holy guide to obsession, devotion, and being your most hottest, deluded self' is Evel's first zine. It's full of art, poems, and a few secrets... exploring themes of infatuation, obsession, and moving on.
